Re: Banana Equivalent Dose

Thank you, Gary, for the references and the deep insite into the true nature
of how intense all the microrem counting has become.

The Anti-Nukes here in Idaho quoted the dose to a member of the
general public living by the interstate during 174 proposed shipments
of high level nuclear waste as 3.5X10-05 or the equivalent of eating 3.5
bananas or about 4 potatoes (Idaho famous crop) in a year. They
talked risk and quoted some NCRP numbers that refered to risk from
the REM range. (I don't understand it either.)

Your right Gary, we all ought to quit eating, and immediately. We
all know that the risk must be no threshold and linear (a bit of
sarcasam here).
