Zinc-65 Intake???

         Folks,

         A person recently came to our site seeking access to the
         radiologically controlled areas.  An entry whole body count using
         a Canberra AccuScan II with two germanium detectors identified
         about 160 nCi of zinc-65 in the area of the LLI.  No zinc-65 is
         present in other body locations (eg chest, head, thighs).  The
         individual was surprised and could offer no reason for the presence
         of the zinc-65.  The individual stated he does not presently work
         with radioactive materials and has not been in an RCA for many
         years.  His NRC Form-4 shows no occupational radiation exposure.

         Have you ever had a zinc-65 intake?  What were the circumstances?
         What are typical uses for zinc-65?
