My answer is 40.5mCi.
I used the 1992 Edition of the RHH.
The gamma constant for Bi-207 is listed as: 36xE-04 mSv/hr/MBq at 1 meter.
This works out to 1.332 R/hr per Ci at 1 meter
= 14.8 R/hr per Ci at 30 cms.
The meter reading was 0.6 R/hr at 30 cms.
Therfore, activity = 0.6/14.8 * 1Ci = 0.0405 Ci = 40.5 mCi
