To: Multiple recipients
From: Armando E. Zea
Subject: CRSO - 95 Conference
Date: March 28, 1995
**********************************************************
On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my pleasure to invite all
the multiple recipients of the <radsafe@romulus.ehs.uiuc.edu> list to
participate in the 15th Biennial Campus Radiation Safety Officers
Conference. It will be held from June 28 to July 1, 1995 at the
University of Southern California, in the beatiful City of Los Angeles.
University and hospital radiation safety personnel from Canada and
the USA have been meeting on a biennial basis for the past 28 years.
We meet to discuss real life , every-day concerns and issues as well
as new trends and regulations that affect all of us.
A "call for papers" was recently sent to members. The deadline for
reception of abstracts is April 28th. You can present more than one
paper if you wish. We will attempt to have all abstracts published in
the HPS journal.
You do NOT need to be a Campus Radiation Safety Officer or a
member to attend this meeting. Membership is free. Just call, write
or attend this conference and we will add your name to the mailing
list.
The response has been good and it appears that we will have a
record number of Commercial Exhibitors. We also expect to have a
record number of participants.
Accomodations will be at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, across from the
USC Campus ($70.00 for singles/day or $75.00 for doubles/day). On
Campus, housing will be available at Fluor Tower (My child lives here
during the regular school term). Single attendees will pay
$21.70/person/night double occupancy or $33.10/person/night single
occupancy. The other on campus housing facility is Troy East, for
families, where you will have a very nice 2 bedroom apartment for
you and up to 3 family members for only $60.00/night.
Vendors reception will be at the Hotel on June 28, from 6:30 to 8:30
p.m. The conference will also be at the hotel and it will start on
Thursday June 29 at 8:00 a.m. Technical sessions will be presented
on Thursday and Friday. There will be a technical visit to the Gamma
Knife, the USC PET facility and cyclotron on July 1st, signaling the
end of the conference.
