Tritium is often in the form of tritiated water ie H3 replaces H1. So the
tritium is very tightly bound!!
Even if it is in gaseous form, tritium will form an oxide (ie tritiated
water). Tritium may also be in the form of metal tritides such as titanium
tritide.
