Rad Safety Department Size

All,

CMU is a research university located in Pittsburgh (go Pens!)
Pennsylvania.  We currently possess a broadscope, SNM, and state
license/registration for the use of unsealed and sealed sources and xray
generating machines.  We have approximately 40 labs and between 300 and
400 users of radioactive material.  It looks like rad safety will (and
should) become responsible for RF, EMF, ELF and Laser Safety.

My question is, based on the above, how large of a Rad Safety Department
would you all consider acceptable to provide minimal coverage.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
