more on children and career's

I know that I have already spoken but here is more.

Sue, I'm with you.

When I was in high school, I was told by the guidance counsellor that the
best careers for a girl were the "traditional" mom, teacher, nurse, nun,
and maybe a Red Cross tech (marginally). Also, my father did not believe
that women need education - after all, they only get married and have
children and if they work, they've taken a job away from a man who has a
family to support.

Being a rebellious soul, I went out and got my science education. I figured
that if I were going into the medical field, I might as well be an MD. (I
got side-tracked with a MSc.in physics). Let's face it - today's Prince
Charming is often divorced, with child-support payments and a used car.

It still boils down to, with all of the available career options today, keep
your options open, and don't close your mind to anything "non-traditional".
 Explore these before you choose.
