Appendix Bquestion

The question was somewhat retorical.
The issue is that NRC asserts the appendix B is based on 50 mrem for
non-submersion nuclides and 100 mrem for submersion nuclides.
But the prefix clearly demonstrates that the basis for both is 100 mrem.

If one is to accept the assertion then one has to reassign the factor of 2
from being an age adjustment factor to being a dose basis correction.
If this is the case, fine. I just want to understand how we get to 50 mrem
for the non-submersion nuclides.

As someone else has pointed out, it does not matter what you hear NRCers say,
it only matters what is in print. And the print in Appendix B appears to
differ from what is being said, depending on which portion of Part 20 you
read. I just want to know which part I should not read (or should read
differently).

It is probably just myopia on my part. My glasses did not come equipped with
the proper regulatory filter.
