Re: Coal Ash

A number of reports have been written on this subject. The quantity and
specific nuclides is dependent upon many factors including the original
content in the coal, ash fraction, etc. See UNSCEAR reports for excellent
summary of situation world wide; Kathren, Radioactivity in the
Environment, Harwood Academic Press, 1984, pp. 64, 67, 77-78 for a capsule
summary; also Eisenbud. The ANS has some infor on this topic in their PR
materials.
