John Graham, ANS President Elect will preside over the:
     
         Induction of New ANS Officers and Executive Comm. 
     
Then John will speak on: 
     
"ANS CONSTITUENCIES" (Members, Local Sections, Decision Makers, the 
International World, etc.) to give a basis for describing the changes that 
we have already made and the re-engineering that the Society may need to be 
able to work through this period of decreasing affluence.
     
PROFESSIONAL:  John is Vice President, Safety and Quality matters, BNFL Inc. 
Denver, CO.  B.Sc. Summa Cum Laude University of Wales; Graduate study in 
Mathematics, University of IL; Doctoral Study in Theoretical Physics, 
University College of London.  
     
EXPERIENCE:  Senior Scientist, Reactor Kinetics, United Kingdom Atomic 
Energy  Authority, Harwell and Winfrith, UK; Fellow Scientist and Manager, 
Safety Direction for Fast Reactors,   Westinghouse Electric Corporation, 
Madison, PA; Manager, Licensing, Basalt Waste Isolation Project, Rockwell 
and    Westinghouse Hanford Company, Hanford, WA; Director, Regulatory 
Services, Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd.   Research Company, Ottawa, Ontario, 
Canada
     
HONORS:  1974 Fellow of the American Nuclear Society; 1992 Leadership Award 
of the American Nuclear Society; 1994-6  Vice President and President of the 
American Nuclear Society
     
ANS:  He has been a member of the ANS for twenty-three years and during that 
time has been deeply involved in its management.  He was National Treasurer 
for 4 years and has served on the Board of Directors for 13 years.  He 
chaired the International Committee for 3 years .
     
PERSONAL:  John has been married for nearly forty years and has two grown up 
children.  He likes to think of himself as a well-rounded person, having 
written nine non-technical books, organized chess congresses, run 88 
marathons, published a monthly magazine for the blind for 30 years, and 
traveled to some 50 countries.  He has other, serious, hobbies.   As you can 
see, his wife, Claire, is very tolerant.
