A follow up to David Scherer's post. As far as I know, there
aren't any dose limits in the regs for radiologic procedures.
The RDRC regs certainly don't apply. However, as another
poster pointed out, the recent DOE witch hunt over old
human research makes it a good idea to conduct human protocols
in a manner that one can document that doses were not
unusually high. (That was pretty vague ;). It doesn't mean
that you can't exceed the 361.1 limits in protocols that
do not provide direct benefit, but you are probably increasing
potential exposure to litigation.
