f-factors
There was an article in the Sep/Oct issue of Medical Physics "Newly
Computed f-factors for use in radiation dosimetry. Table I of the article
lists mono-energetic f-factors for several tissues, tissue substitutes, and
radiation dosimeters. Unfortunately, I do not know of any sources for the
backscatter factors which you described.

Hi All,
Got a question that someone out there knows the answer. Thanks, as
always.

I'm measuring the HVL on an Oldeleft superficial unit.
This unit has optional settings for changing beam quaility.
I'm looking for backscatter factor data (BSF) and f-factor
values (exposure to muscle dose conversion) for a HVL of
12.7 mm Al. My sources only give values for HVL of Al up to
7 & 8 mm then changes to mm of Cu. I don't have Cu filfers.
Thankyou for your efforts in this web page. I use it often
as a resource.
