Re: product for conc. liquid LLRW

Nan Newell asked this question regarding a new product to solidify liquid rad
 wastes:

Radioactive wastes disposed of at the LLRW site in Richland, Washington, are
subject to the requirements in Washington Administrative Code (WAC), Chapter
246-249 "Radioactive Waste-Use of the Commercial Disposal Site."
In particular, WAC 246-249-050 requires that solidified or stabilized liquids
must be in approved solidification or stabilization media. Approved media are
specified in the license issued to the operator of the Richland LLRW site, US
Ecology, Inc. It would seem like your product would require approval before it
could be used to solidify or stabilize liquid rad wastes.
