I'm in Boston!

I well, I'm in Boston and still in contact :-) I found a Public Access
Terminal, Courtesy of MKS up here in the AAPM Exhibit Hall. MKS set up a
T1 line for use during the meeting. I wish I could have taken advantage of
this high speed direct connection during my PEP course on Sunday. It would
have made the whole thing a lot more successful. My course went O.K., but
was a dissappointment to me and many of the attendees. I spent too much time
on the first part of the lecture dealing with basics and with the help of a few
glitches in the hardware setup (the HPS could not afford to provide an ISDN
link so I had to do with a standard phone line, which was not activated until
one hour before my presentation) I ran over and didn't get to devote the
time necessary to adequately demonstrate the Health Physics Resources on the
Internet (that was entirely my fault).

I don't blame the HPS at all since they don't quite have the money
to spend on computing resources in order to provide the membership with a
setup like this, but I really think they ought to address it for the next
Annual Meeting. Linda Sewell was extrememly helpfull and worked VERY hard to
help me get setup for the lecture. The people with the local arrangements
committee have been just great.
