As I recall, the Executive Director of the Central States LLRW
Commission (a guy by the name of Ray Perry) was convicted on
embezzlement in this affair, and spent some jail time. Greta's only
involvement was that at the time he was convicted, she happened to be
the Chair of the Central States LLRW Commission (along with Arkansas'
Commissioner). To my knowledge, she was never even implicated in this
matter.

Environmentalists, objecting to President Clinton's nomination of 
Greta Dicus to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, say the Senate 
should take a closer look at her record. Dicus' name has surfaced in a
scandal involving the theft of nearly $1 million in Central States 
Low-Level Radioactive Waste Commission funds.
