I just wanted to reiterate and clarify one of Paul's comments. The values in the RHH dose constant tables are deep dose equivalents. i.e. at 1 cm depth (and I'm not sure that that is completely true as it sort of seems like they took the maximum dose rate at what ever depth it peaked). In any event for low energy photons it is far from the effective dose equivalent. Dale
