Price of radium

Please pardon this question if it's a little off-topic:

  There's a person in our community looking for a rough idea of the current
dollar value of a given amount of Ra-226. She says there was a group in the
early part of this century who collected donations to purchase radium for
Marie Curie, and she would like some idea of how the present value compares
with the figures she has.
   If anyone has any information, I'd appreciate hearing from you. A direct
response would be best to avoid cluttering the list. Thanks.
