Re: NIR Warning Symbol

        Reply to: RE>NIR Warning Symbol
The radiofrequency/microwave warning icon is found in ANSI C95.2-1982. It
looks like a highly stylized/abstracted lighthouse.

The icon can be used in warning signs as specified in the ANSI Z535 series of
standards which now governs the use of the trefoil (I hope the spelling is
correct), among other things. The familiar red, black, and aluminum diamond is
obsolete and OSHA wrote a letter to IEEE acknowledging this back in 1992.
According to Z535 standards, colors are used to denote degree of hazard along
with the shape of the field surrounding the warning word and the warning word
itself (yellow and rectangle for CAUTION, orange and hexagonal for WARNING, and
red oval/black rectangle DANGER with white background. I would expect color to
loose all significance as time moves on out of consideration for color blind
people. So yellow and magneta and red, black, and aluminum now have no special
meaning.

G'day All

Does anyone know where I can find a diagram of the non-ionizing radiation
warning symbol showing relative dimensions??

Thanks

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said
but I am not sure that what you heard is actually what I meant.
