Post-irradiation weakness - diet?

Hi,

although we are predominantly physicists around here (aren't we?), I am
confident that there are many physicians who can advice on diet and life
style prior to, during and following irradiation treatment.

Simply, what is generally recommended diet/life style one should enter if
s/he is rather weak and about to start cancer treatment by irradiation to
Co-60, especially to minimize effects of post-irradiation weakness.
