When is HPS going to get modern and have an electronic archive?
In the world of real physics, there are many pre-print and electronic
archives available for people to place their articles. HPS can have one
and require the submissions be in REVTeX or AMSTeX or whatever. All they
would require is that authors learn TeX (virtually all graduate students
in physics use it). You could also post thesis and dissertations which
normally don't get published. All the software is available free from
ftp at pip.shsu.edu. All you need is a sign on the door warning everyone
that the articles have not been peer-reviewed.
