150 % counting efficiency for P-32 is not likely.

The cherenkov is produced when a beta moves thru the scintillation 
fluid would be in coincidence with the "scintillations" and would 
increase pulse size but not count rate.  There is a possibility that 
some cherenkov might be produced without getting the "normal 
scintillations", but that is unlikely.

If you have measured 150% efficiency, I would suspect that the 
activity of the source is incorrect or you have acounting system 
problem; e.g., oscillations in a circuit with double pulsing.
