unnecessary message traffic

I agree. But - I don't know how to delete the previous message (or parts
of it) to which I am replying. If you could tell us how to do that, it
might save a lot of unnecessary electrons(for the computer) and
photons(for the readers). Also, someone asked me how to sign up for
RADSAFE yesterday and I couldn't remember how to do it (terrible when
you are older). Would you please tell me? Thanks. Al Tschaeche.

Subject: unnecessary message traffic
Folks, I hate to be an ogre, but there's just been far too much
unnecesssary message traffic in RADSAFE lately and I'd appreciate it if you
all could do your best to help keep the signal-to-noise ratio high here.

Lately I've seen MANY, MANY messages that should have been sent via private
e-mail (remember always to include your e-mail address at the end of your
posts!), messages that have *nothing* to do with the subject matter of
RADSAFE, gross overquoting of previous messages... and the list goes on.

Please, PLEASE stop for several seconds before hitting that "send" key and
think about whether you really want to inflict the e-mail queues of more
than 1000 RADSAFE subscribers with your message. The rest of us will
really appreciate it if you do.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation!
