I understand that this can be manipulated to a natural background concept,
but space travel also institutes natural background...about 5 to 10 rem
worth.  I'm sure that this is taken into account when considering exposure.

Bottom line: the future holds high alititude transport as a means of common
air travel.  Exposure will undoubtedly increase tremendously.  No longer
will flight crews be able to fly countless hours without regard for ALARA.
Crew members maybe carrying another type of passport that Ron Kathren
mentions in Health Physics (39:149,1980).
