I was attempting to reply directly to Mike Baker with information 

about the publisher of "The Health Physics and Radiological Health 

Handbook."  Somehow my signature block (which includes the 

Proverbs quotation) was transmitted alone to radsafe.  That quote 

was not intended to be a reply to Mike's desire to buy the 

Handbook. Several people have reacted to the Proverb and pehaps 

took it the wrong way. Indeed,I think that the Handbook is well 

worth paying for!  The idea is that knowledge, once attained, is 

-- in a sense -- priceless.
