     MDA is a function of time and "time is money".  There is a good 
     article in the Proceedings of the 27th Mid-Year Topical Meeting of the 
     HPS (February 1994) entitled, "Managing Radioactive and Mixed Wastes" 
     which lists MDAs vs. cost.

Does anybody know of a reference which has values of realistically 
achievable Minimum Detectable Activities for various radionuclides (as many 
as relevant) in soil?
