Badging during fluro
Dear list members
I'm interested in what people really do in badging workers in medical
fluoroscopy rooms. Do you issue one or two badges?
My specific questions are:
a) if you issue one badge is it worn inside or outside the protective apron?
b) if you issue two badges
1 where are they worn?
2 how do you prevent mixups?
c) what do you do with the data? ie what is recorded as the deep dose
equivalent or whatever term you use.
I know and have NCRP 122 "Use of personal moitors to estimate effective
dose equivalent and effective dost to workers for external exposure to
low-LET radiaton" but am interested in what folks are really doing.
To avoid cluttering up the bb please respone to me directly at
ckel@unm.edu.
I'll reply to all responders and summarize what I find in a later note to
the entire bb.
Thanks in advance.
