RO2 Environmental Performance

Good Morning,

Is the RO2 meter dying because of the temperature or is it because of
humidity? Generally, I have found the R02 to be a pretty robust instrument
EXCEPT when it was used in steamy atmospheres. If the probe dessicant is pink,
then the probe atmosphere would humidify in hot, wet environments (similar to a
reactor containment) and the instrument would fail.

(If you haven't done this already,) try wrapping the instrument in a
plastic bag and seeing if that seems to extend the performance time of the
instrument? If so, it's probably the humidity that's killing the meter.
