Radiation Safety Officer
Office of Environmental Health and Safety @ Dartmouth College

Dartmouth College is seeking a highly motivated, well-qualified Radiation
Safety Officer to provide leadership and management for the College's
Radiation Safety Program within the Office of Environmental Health and
Safety.  Applicants must have a Master's or Ph.D. in Health Physics or
equivalent and a minimum of three years of relevant experience in an academic
or biomedical research environment, and must have experience in directing and
managing a radiation safety program or significant experience in performing
duties that would prepare a person to direct and manage a radiation safety
program in an academic environment.  This person will serve as Associate
Director for EHS and will report to the Director of Environmental Health and
Safety.  Applicants must have demonstrated expertise in research
laboratory-based radiation safety combined with excellent communication,
interpersonal and management skills.  Experience in licensing, waste
management and other regulatory and compliance issues is essential, and
expertise  in the design and presentation of radiation safety training
programs to scientists and  support staff is also important.
