The Dr. Maxey referred to in Ronald Goodwin's note was 

most likely Dr. Margaret N. Maxey.  She is currently a 

Professor of Bioethics in the Biomedical Engineering 

Program at the University of Texas at Austin.  Dr. 

Maxey, who is also a member of the Health Physics 

Society, has written extensively and given public 

presentations on such issues as waste management 

policies and risk issues. She is a dynamite speaker 

and would be a great choice for a guest lecture at any 

national or chapter HP meeting.
