Re[2]: Old check sources



       I quickly researched the US Army publication TB43-0116 and it 
      indicates the following:
     
     MX-1083       Co60  5 micro Ci
     MX-1083 B     Ra226 7 micro Ci 
     MX-1083 C     Ra226 7 micro Ci 
     MX-1083 D     Ra226 7 micro Ci
     
     All models are listed as obsolete. My opinion (retired mil) is that 
     you probably have MX-1083 C. I also believe the newer wands (can't 
     remember models)  contained Kr85.

Yes, the source for those check source wands was Ra-226.
