Dear Radsafers,
And today in the news...  Ijust finished reading a vicious diatribe 
against nuclear power in Cody Shearer's column in our Jonesboro (Ark) 
Sun.  Among his comments, "Nuclear energy is still a nerve-wracking 
game".  I really ought to check out that Chernobyl web page abd find 
out whether "plutonium..has now reached the country's (Ukraine) 
..drinking water".  He also attacks decisions made by the NRC that 
(he says) were based on the fear that a change in policy would alarm 
the public.  I guess Mr. Shearer feels that an alarmed public is good 
for his business.  Find a paper and check it out.  I'd love to see 
comments on radsafe (if it's allowed) or to me personally.  I'm just 
a microbiologist (and RSO) trying to get an education.
