Northwestern is offering a two-day course Compliance With Radiation
Regulations on June 24-25.  This course covers NRC, DOT, EPA and OSHA
regulations for licensees and non-licensees.  The course discusses 
overlapping and inconsistent requirements, licensing, occupational dose, 
dose to members of the public, transportation, training requirements 
and enforcement action.  The course is intended for those who have a direct
supervisory responsibility.  The course manual contains key regulations 
including current DOT regs.

The five day course, Radiation Safety, will be offered again in the Fall. The
topics in this course, which has been offered for many years, include: 
principles of radiation protection, radiation detection and measurement, 
radiation dosimetry, biological effects, regulatory requirements and
enforcement and effective program management.  Some sessions are labs and
workshops and a copy of the third edition of Herman Cember's "Introduction
to Health Physics" is included with the handout material.
