Pregnancy forms -Reply



Brian, I'm sure you're aware of the DOE's position on this subject
(tandem with Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964), protecting the
employee's rights re: discrimination.  Take a look at Page 65461 of
10CFR835.  I've seen a similar form at a DOE Complex facility.  I pointed
management to the above reference.

Recently I was shown an acknowledgement form that was required to
be signed by females entering a two-year college x-ray technologist
program. The form stated that pregnancy (declared or not) during the
program or the admission process would result in termination.

Is this an acceptable practice? What guidance should be given to 
someone who wishes to enter the program?
