Typically once a year, though it should depend on what sort of  treatment the
pulser is getting. If it's being used purely as a laboratory bench
instrument, annual calibration is probably overkill. If on the other hand
it's used in field work, i.e. being shipped all over the country to various
sites, with maybe not the best handling at all times, a higher frequency
should be considered. Really the same criteria as for a survey meter, except
that most people's licensure demands at least annual calibration of meters,
even if they sit on the shelf when not being calibrated.
