Basically, you need to know two plenary members of the HPS who are willing to
act as your sponsors. They co-sign your application, and one of them writes a
letter to the Secretary advocating your membership, in some detail. I mean
that he/she should know you personally well enough to offer information that
could not be found in your application and resume. The whole package then
goes to the Secretary for evaluation. Forms and detailed instructions can be
