Evaporation rate from a spill

Hi there,
A topic from your science lessons, or
Please refer me to an easy to comprehend literature (for dummies) which
would cover data on the rate of water evaporation from a spill at the given
temperature (both air and water) and the partial water vapour pressure(s)
(e.g. the given relative humidity of air prior spilage), the area of spill, etc.

For Melissa:

This is to compute the air concentration and the committed dose, and their
time dependency from the "evaporated" activity, so please let me have this
topic, as it may be of interest to someone else.

Thank you all in advance. Please use private e-mail if felt more appropriate.

Have a happy weekend.

Regards,
  Miroslav
