Exempt Quantity Generator (40 CFR 261.5): Doesn't generate more than
100 kilograms (~28 gallons) of hazardous waste in a calendar month. This
amount is not subject to certain EPA and RCRA regulations.
However, if an exempt quantity generator accumulates more than 1000 Kg
(~280 gallons) _at any time_, EPA and RCRA regulations start seeping in.
It seems your 300 gallons is near a regulatory threshold as far as the EPA
is concerned. You might want to contact someone that's really knowledgable
on Title 40 (Protection of Environment), such as RAM-waste brokers.
The information you find out would be of benefit if you share it with
RADSAFE.
