Radiation Technician Position

Radiation Safety Section of the Environmental Health & Safety Division.

Requirements:
Three years of college course work in appropriate science or engineering
program or an equivalent combination of education and experience; knowledge
of safety precautions necessary for the use of radioactive materials;
knowledge of radiation instrumentation; laboratory terminology, laboratory
practices.
Description:
Audits laboratories which use and/or store radioactive materials as part of
the University Laboratory Surveillance Program. Maintain records and
statistics. Check fume hood operations. Participates in radiological
emergencies. Participates in laboratory setups, closeouts, and decommissioning.
Salary Range:
$17,640 - $26,784

The Ohio State University possesses a broad scope license, reactor license
and 7 specific licenses from the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
