Re: Win95 Antiviral Software
Just to paraphrase a few details from the May 14 issue of PC
magazine.
Norton Antivirus was the editor's choice. IBM antivirus was slightly lacking
escpecially in detection of viruses in compressed files unless they were
compressed using pkzip or lzexe. Norton anti-virus scans inbound and
outbound files which is extremely useful given the available sites, files,
etc on the 'net. Norton also detects and removes Macro viruses and interacts
well with WIN95. But, as with all things, as better anti-virus programs are
marketed, someone will come up with a new virus.
Wonder if Bruce Busby has any input or reccomendations for virus
scanning and protection.
