Maymie Chenoweth mchenoweth@engr-serv.usc.edu asked about good educational materials.
 I recently got some materials ffrom the DOE Office of Civilian Radwaste Mgmt that are
excellent, including info for study, discussion, and labs.  Includes student and teacher
materials and was published in 1995.  Titled "Science, Society and America's Waste", and
has a section on ionizing radiation.  For info (from the materials):
