ANSI HPS N13.30 is currently being printed and will soon be distributed by
separate mailing at DOE's request. A Technical Standard describing the program
will be distributed for DOE-wide comment immediately after distribution of the
ANSI standard. The DOE bioassay accreditation program has not yet started, but
should begin sometime in 1997 (pilot testing has been occurring for many years).
Accreditation as a requirement must be preceeded by the appropriate CFR
amendment
process.
