Navy use of uuCi reply

My first response was to say that sound-powered phone use with discussion
of contamination usually occurred while wearing airline respirators (on
submarines), further complicating understanding. But.... I can also
remember reports of xx million uuCi/100 cm2, so that doesn't hold much
water does it? Like many other things Navy, it's hard to change old
habit/traditions, and hearing that capacitors were refered to as uuF
instead of pF reinforces that in my mind. Standardized reporting was more
important than technical correctness,( especially at >400').

By the way, "close" can sound like "blow", not a good thing on a submarine.
