Here's another example of the paranoia surrounding radiation exposure,
even from those who should know better.
I received a phone call from a distraught mom-to-be. She works for a
public law enforcement agency as a guard to the entrance of a public
building, in which persons have to enter through a weapons detector, and
their personal possessions have to be, you guessed it, inspected by an
XRay device. Her occupational health nurse reports that she is at risk
due to the xray 'exposure'. She is now laid off from work.
..and I am not even suprised.
