NCCHPS Dinner Meeting
NOVEMBER 14TH DINNER MEETING- The NCCHPS invites you to our
November dinner meeting at "The Bold Knight of Sunnyvale" Restaurant.
Our speaker for the evening will be Dr. Peter Ryge, and his topic will
deal with Pulsed Fast Neutron Analysis. Dr. Ryge is the senior
project scientist for a SAIC division that is investigating the
commercialization of fast neutron activation for material analysis.
His studies have led to the development of devices for numerous
international airports, the British and French ends of the Chunnel,
etc., that are capable of rapid analysis of materials for the presence
of explosives and/or other contraband.
Date: Thursday, November 14, 1996
Place: The Bold Knight of Sunnyvale, 769 Matilda in Sunnyvale
Directions: From San Francisco proceed S on 101. From San Jose go N on
101. From the East Bay cross any bridge and proceed S on 101. From
101 take the Matilda exit, which is the 2nd exit S of Moffett Field,
toward Sunnyvale. The restaurant is in the 2nd block, on the
right-hand side at 769 Matilda.
Schedule: 6:00- Cocktails (no host bar),7:00- Dinner, 8:00- Dr. Ryge's
Presentation
Menu choices: A =Vegetarian, B =Fish, C =Meat [Please indicate menu
choice when you reply].
Cost: $18 for early reservation and payment, that is either by 1)
early mailing of your RSVP envelope and check, or 2) phone or E-mail
reservation received by Monday the 11th at the latest and payment
