Re the thread about Cs-137 in deer, RW Field reported in HEALTH PHYSICS
64(6):671 on an investigation comparing Cs-137 in deer tongues collected in the
TMI area to tongues collected in 10 counties at least 88 km from TMI. The
levels were higher in the deer from the remote counties. The remote counties
were generally at higher altitude and more heavily forested than the TMI area.
Both factors could contribute to more Cs-137 in the deer diet.
