Cesium in Deer

A quick look in the Health Physics Journal found two studies of
137Cs in deer.

One study assayed 16,000 deer over the period 1965 to 1980. (See
"137Cs Content of Deer: Savannah River Plant vs South Carolina
Coastal Plain Herds," Health Physics, Vol 44, No. 3 March pp.
272-274, 1983.)

Another assayed 156 deer in Nov./Dec. 1979. (See "137Cs Levels
in Deer Following the Three Mile Island Accident," Health
Physics, 64(6):671-674; 1993.)

Activity data for air, soil, water, and agricultural products is
available in annual environmental surveillance reports that are
submitted by regulation to the US NRC by each nuclear plant
operator.

Let me know if anyone is interested.
