Re: Russian population nixes Nuke Plant

Could our best bet be the IAEA? As a matter of fact, one of my employees is
returning from Armenia (a former Russian state) tomorrow, where he's been
for about 3 weeks, helping to train the locals in emergency planning and
response, under the auspices of the IAEA and Tom McKenna (who is on loan to
the IAEA from the NRC). Surely, efforts such as this need to be continued
elsewhere in Russia, and it will require more than a little dedication on
the part of health physics professionals.

All IMHO......well, maybe not so humble. <G>

So what can we do to help the Russians with their very real fear? If
Greenpeace is over there, what US organizations can we muster to counter
the Greenpeace propaganga? Al Tschaeche xat@inel.gov
