>The Arizona Emergency Medicine Research Center,(AEMRC) will once again
>offer a 3-day "Hazardous Materials Toxmedic Training Program" at the
>University of Arizona in Tucson, Az March 7-9, 1997.

>The course utilizes curriculum developed by Michael Vance, M.D., Associate
>Director, Department of Medical Toxicology, Samaritan Regional Poison
>Center in Phoenix. 
>
>This course will be of interest to paramedics, firefighters, nurses, 
>physicians, and other health care providers including waste management 
>and risk management personnel.
>
>The course will be taught by medical toxicologists, including Dr. Vance,
>Frank Walter, M.D., Tareg Bey, M.D., and Raquel Gibly, M.D.  Dr. Walter is
>the Director of Clinical Toxicology and Assistant Medical Director of the
>Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center at the University of Arizona
>Health Sciences Center.  Drs. Bey and Gibly are Instructors of Clinical
>Surgery and Toxicology Fellows at the University of Arizona Health

>V. Miscellaneous Agents
>Carbon disulfide, fluoride, fluoracetate, hydrazine, nicotine, phosphorus,
>chemical warfare

>VI. Hazmat Drug Box
>Atropine, cyanide antidote kit, diazepam, methylene blue, pralidoxime, 
>propranolol, terbutaline
>
>VII.  Integrated Hazmat System Response
>Equipment display & utilization, workshop and discussion

>The cost of the course is $295 for physicians and $250 for non-physicians 
>if payment is received more than 30 days before the course; prices 
>increase to $360 and $300 respectively if payment is made less than 30 
>days before course.
