Re: Pierce et al. 1996 article: Atomic Bomb Survivor Cancer Mortality Data Update



	There is strong sentiment that the effects of instantaneous
radiation dose is different from effects of protracted dose, so the A-bomb
survivor data are not applicable to the usual applications. Otto Raabe,
especially, has been pushing this point.
	In personal discussions, Pierce has set 8 rem as the lowest dose
at which their data support linear- no threshold.
