HPS Fee Reduction

The Health Physics Society recently reduced the cost of initial membership
in
the Society from $75 to $50.  Additionally, because of  an NRRPT subsidy,
Active NRRPT members may now join the Health Physics Society for only $25.
NRRPT members will automatically be classified as Plenary members, a
membership
class which class carries full voting rights and recognition as a
professional peer
in the health physics community.  HPS members receive a monthly newsletter,
a monthly journal, a membership directory, standards published by the HPS,
and
HPS meeting and travel discounts.

Active NRRPT Members will have until the end of 1997 to avail themselves
to this offer.  New Registrants will have 90 days from the date they are
notified
of passing the NRRPT exam to join at the reduced rate.
